Success Story

At 24, Akwari had a skill but no way to use it. She’d spent two years learning tailoring in another village but came home without a sewing machine. She sat at home, frustrated and dependent, feeling like her training had been wasted.

Then LiftOne Humanitarian Foundation stepped in.

We provided Akwari with a professional sewing machine and startup materials. Today, she’s the only seamstress in her village. Customers come from neighboring communities for her services. She’s earning ₦20,000-₦30,000 per month, money that feeds her family, builds her savings, and gives her dignity.

But Akwari’s impact doesn’t stop there. She’s now training other young women under our Skills Lift program, creating a ripple effect of empowerment across her community.
